Hi Billy,
It's one of those jobs that's easy if you have done it before. Get some sighted help, but make sure you do it yourself with their assistance, then you will be alright next time you need to change an optical or hard drive.

Hi Billy,
It all depends on you. I have done it. You need to be confident to remove the side panel, locate the drive, remove 4 small screws holding the drive into the bay, and removing the IDE ribbon cable and the power cable from the rear of the drive. Refitting is a reversal of the above. The most fiddly part is replacing the 4 small screws.
Good luck

Philip

hi guys,
I'm needing to remove an old HDD from my second computer system, and replace it with another larger Hard disk. Is this possible for a visually impaired person to accomplish?, or is it a visit to my local repair shop?,
