Hi Billy.

There are many ways you can do this.

Personally, I have a Quad Vena amplifier which allows me to connect an iPhone via it's standard lightning cable and allows me to play music, books, etc, while charging the phone at the same time.

It also has high quality blue tooth so I can also stream from a blue tooth compatible device.

It has 2 analogue inputs and a further set of digital inputs that I use to connect our Sky box. It's easy to set up and use and has a very simple remote control.

It's not cheap because it's a hifi component and is Quad so very high quality. You can get it at Superfi for £599, details at:

I also have the amplifier connected to a Monitor Audio subwoofer and to a Monitor Audio passive soundbar so I can have room filling music and movies at high quality but taking up much less space than the floorstanders I've had in the past.

The soundbar cost £500, details at:

The subwoofer cost £499, details at:

There is a Black Friday deal on this weekend, 10% off I think.

Regards.

Kevin

What is the easiest and best way to achieve this task?, Billy
