Hi Derek:

I think a pc is not applicable here, as it is a computer, and anyone has
this in their homes now.

I will talk to someone about this, and see where I stand on it, though I'm
prepared to lose my disabled relief as how can they tell I have access
technology on my pc? it's not overtly there, so a council worker can't see
it, so that's the way they work it.

I will talk to rnib or Action for blind ppl shortly and see where I get,
though I don't know if I'll get anywhere with my council.

thanks.----- Original Message ----- From: "Derek Hornby" <derek.hornby_uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

: Take look here:
: the property must have one of the following:
: a room that has been modified for your, or the disabled person's sole use
:
: an additional bathroom, lavatory or kitchen to meet your/their needs
: extra space inside the property to allow a wheelchair to be used - if the
: wheelchair is for outside use only, this will not count
: I would suggest ;you consult a welfare rights officer like at RNIB
: and see if the council has interpreted the rules correctly
: as you do have right of appeal.
: I mean this bit is certainly open opinion:
: "a room that has been modified for your, or the disabled person's sole
use"
:
: How doe council define the term:
: "modified for your, or the disabled person's sole use"
