Hi

You might be interested to learn that Amazon have a new kindle out which they claim is lighter etc. Costing 89 pounds. Don't know whether there is text to speech on it so if anybody knows whether this is available on the new device, or perhaps wishes to investigate, I would be most interested. to know...

Best wishes Julie.

hi there well i have the 3 g kindle and you do not need a sim card. you must turn on speech in the settings then when reading a book you must turn on text to speech so it is very very useable by a blind person. i did a podcast on blind cool tech all about it. cheers there.
