Consultation participation 01.02.12

a.. Have you been registered severely sight impaired (blind) or sight
impaired (partially sighted) in the last 2-6 months?
b.. Do you attend Moorfields Eye Hospital in City Road?
If you answer 'yes' to both, the RNIB group and us would like to hear from you.

We are writing to members in your area to invite newly registered individuals
to participate in a consultation.

This gives you an opportunity to share your experiences and thoughts about
being registered as severely sight impaired (blind) or sight impaired
(partially sighted).

The research is being carried out by the RNIB on behalf of a
multi-organisational group that includes the Macular Disease Society.

To take part:
If you would like to contribute to this important consultation then please
telephone Dr Tammy Boyce, 02920 640 490 or email tboyce39@xxxxxxxxx for further
information and to make arrangements for your participation. There is no
obligation to participate at this stage.

Tammy will call you and arrange a telephone interview. This telephone interview
will last no longer than 15 minutes.

Your feedback will remain anonymous for the purposes of analysis and
participation in this research will not in any way affect the services you
receive.

Purpose of the project:
The aim of the research is to talk to people who have recently been certified
as blind or partially sighted, to understand what worked well about the process
and discuss how it can be improved in the future.
