Hi Tony, If you're using the latest version of the Rockbox Utility, then I can understand the problem you're referring to, as the voice and talk file creation aspect has been very buggy as of v1.2.7. From my own experience, you sometimes get lucky and are able to generate the voice file, but it's very rare that you'd successfully generate the talk files. The last successful version of the Rockbox Utility for voice and talk file generation was v1.2.6. Assuming you have all the settings properly set, I believe the only solutions you have are to either find Rockbox Utility v1.2.6, or use VoiceBox instead to generate the talk files. Both of these will work fine. I hope that helps. Laz "tony sweeney" <deirton711@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: Hi Folk, I'm having a problem with an iAudio and the latest version of Rockbox. I have installed Rockbox using the Rockbox utility and have built my own voice file. I have enabled the speaking of talk files and have a number of directories on the device with voice files in them. However, Rockbox continues not to voice the files. Can you offer any suggestions as to what may be wrong? Kind regards, Tony Sweeney. -- Affordable Talking MP3 Players!
