Is this thing accessible to somebody with no vision? I thought it was just a
multi-touch interface

Hi Gordon,
Thanks as always for the link and the article. Your posts are always really
informative and a nice break from otherwise tedious work 'smile'.
I was going to purchase my iPad from an Apple store but due to health issues
standing is painful for me so I decided I didn't want to bear the queues. I've
pre-ordered online, but a caution to others that Apple are reporting a 3-4 week
(yes, you didn't misread that!) delay. £659 for the 64GB 3G version.

Apple has outlined further details of Friday's UK launch of the iPad 2.

The iPad 2 will go on sale on 5pm on Friday with prices beginning at £399 for a
16GB Wi-Fi only model - lower than first anticipated.
"While competitors are still struggling to catch up with our first iPad, we've
changed the game again with iPad 2," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO.
"We're experiencing amazing demand for iPad 2 in the US, and customers around
the world have told us they can't wait to get their hands on it. We appreciate
everyone's patience and we are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone."
Pricing will be as follows: £399.00 inc VAT for the 16GB model, £479.00 inc VAT
for the 32GB model, £559.00 inc VAT for the 64GB model.
The iPad 2 with Wi-Fi + 3G will be available for a suggested retail price of
£499.00 inc VAT for the 16GB model, £579.00 inc VAT for the 32GB model and
£659.00 inc VAT for the 64GB model.

The prices are lower than those of the original iPad when it first launched -
the 16GB Wi-Fi only model was £429.
The iPad 2 is smaller and lighter than its predecessor, and faster, too, as
Macworld's tests show. It comes in a choice of two colours - black or white.
