Agreed. BT pay as you go is £4 an hour, or £10 per day, or £25 for 5 days or £39 for 30 days.

There are also 3 months for £30 per month and 12 months for £15 per month, but you need to sign up for the 3 or 12 month contract term for these.

You also can only use them if you are lucky enough to find a BT Wi-fi and BT Wi-fi with Fon UK hotspot, which may not necessarily be available from your own home. There are 3 such in my street provided by some of the restaurants here, but despite being only 100 yards away, I cannot get a signal from my own home, only if I am on their premises..

Not ideal if you want something for where you live.

Cheers

Yes, but that can get expensive if you need it 365 days a year!

You do not need a landline for internet.

My sister comes to UK every few weeks.
While in UK she uses BT with her ipad for internet and emails.
She is charged so much for each day she logs in.

Hi

Yes I am aware that I need a landline so was looking at other options, I will
keep looking.
