Hi,
The ebuyer products are grade a, which is generally refurbished/catalogue
returns that are not resalable as new, but if it's just the packaging that's a
bit worse for wear, then definitely a bargain. Not impressed that they've
copied our marketing blurb, including the returns information!

The RNIB selling price is £102 inc VAT, which most customers wouldn't pay. They
would pay the list price of £85.10, which would have been the rrp when our
catalogues were published. Obviously we can't compete with the likes of
Amazon, Currys etc on the consumer electronics front, but we do aim to offer
support above and beyond with things like our volunteers, accessible
instructions and a support team who are all access tech users themselves.

If you are in an area that is still switching over, then the Helpscheme is
another option for the SmartTalk product that we would encourage people to
explore. To my knowledge, RNIB and the Helpscheme are the only two who are
selling brand-new stock of the SmartTalk.
Regards
Alison

Subject: [access-uk] Goodmans Smart Talk Freeview box GDB20TTS ebuyer £24
Amazon £50 RNIB £102

In case you aren't following the other thread, I thought some might be
interested in the following.

ebuyer are selling the Goodmans Smart Talk talking SD Freeview box for
£19.98 + £4 postage: http://goo.gl/TZ0Jo
On Amazon it fluctuates between £40 and £50: http://goo.gl/NXcxb
RNIB are selling it for £102: http://goo.gl/mImcb

The RRP is £69.99.

Not sure why a charity for the blind are selling it for £32 more than
the RRP of £69.99.

This isn't an HD box, reviews are mixed, but either way, £24 inc
postage is a bargain if you're visually impaired and were after one of
these.

They've got 15 left at time of posting, so if you were thinking of it,
I'd get clicking.

I hope this is OK with the mods, but someone emailed me suggesting I
might post it as a separate thread. I have no connection with any of
the companies or products mentioned.
