Thanks for that. There's a setting in the verbocity dialog called 'Select and 
copy full screen highlight' or 'select and copy from virtual cursor'. I've 
changed it to the latar and it appears to be working ok now. Not sure why it 
isn't set to that by default though.

The IE copying issue, isn't this something to do with copying like for
like code across? I mean, don't you have to select 'copy normal text' in
a  verbosity setting somewhere? 
 
I'm floundering to remember. I have this issue in JAWS 9 occasionally
and always forget which box to flick.
