The update to Jaws 16.0.1925, released today, is supposed to address this blank
page issue. As I haven't experienced it myself, I can't say if the upgrade has
done any good, but it might help you out.

Caroline.

Hi Ali

I cannot replicate any of your issues with JAWS 13 on a Windows 7 machine, but
I can report anomalies with JAWS 16 on some websites. If I am on Amazon, for
instance, JAWS will suddenly tell me the page is blank, and my only way out is
to close Amazon and go back in again. This does not occur using Window-Eyes 9.
I don’t have a previous version of JAWS on my machine that I can revert to
since my computer went for a makeover recently, and I haven’t installed
previous versions of JAWS.

I don’t particularly like 16, it doesn’t seem to behave properly on the
Internet. Anyone else noticed this? My husband and a couple of friends using
similar configurations can replicate the problem. I haven’t reported it though
as it seems to fall on deaf ears, so why bother?

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown

Subject: [access-uk] jaws behaving oddly

Good morning all,

I have not done anything out of the ordinary, e.g. formatted my hard drive,
re-installed windows, applied all updates, etc etc. However, jaws is now
behaving quite oddly. For example, when I try to rout jaws to pc,
(insert+keypad minus) I sometime hear jaws to pc, sometime no sound, sometime
speech gets interrupted. Furthermore, when jaws is routed to pc, speech gets
interrupted and I only hear the first part of the word etc. It is also quite
difficult to move in the windows with insert+4 and 6. Even control+right/left
arrows get stuck and cannot left or right click on any of the buttons.

Using jaws13 on windows7.

.

Thank you.

Ali
