Hi Rory and all. Looking at websites such as dabs.com there is a tecra
a3and a tecra m3 but they all seem out of stock.

This does seem the way a lot with laptops and I am glad I am not about to go
and buy a new one for myself. If I were I would go and look for one in a
shop and either buy it there and then or go and find one online and purchase
the same day.

Cheers

Graham

Graham,

the National probation service uses the Tosh Tecra range (S1 and A2), and
the standard hardware build is ok.

Even the A2 is end of line, and a successor is currently being evaluated.

Cheers

Subject: [access-uk] laptop with jaws

Hi all.

I need to supply a quote for someone who is likely to want to use jaws with
a laptop. Ideally this should be a centrino machine.

I have not looked at laptops for a while. Are the Toshiba machines still
well built and reliable? if so, has anyone out there experience of any
recent models, currently still available? If not Toshiba, any well known
brand will do. I know for example that some ATI cards have struggled with
JAWS but want to avoid a laptop with a dodgy card as obviously they cannot
be replaced.

Cheers
