Hi Nicki.
From what you’re describing to us, your presumably used to a push button rather
than a touchscreen experience? If that is the case and you still want to stick
to pushing buttons, you can choose from a number of devices which will allow
you to store and play music and audible books. I suggest you look at the
portable devices the RNIB have to offer, which include the Milestone and Book
sense, both specialist devices which incorporate many features for music lovers
and book lovers alike. The Book sense is the best of the bunch at the moment
but it comes with a hefty price tag, while the milestone is a simpler, smaller
and more dedicated device for playing music. If you want to consider an Apple
device as some have suggested, you’ll need to familiarise yourself with a
touchscreen interface as all Apple devices now operate this way.

hi everyone
i joined this list as i think it's going to be the best way to get a question
answered about accessible mp3 players/ipods
I'm off to Australia for 6 weeks in September - and would like to take alot of
music and cd's with me
i currently have 2 olympuses - which i can download audible books on to - but
as yet, have not fathomed out how to put cd's on them
i had an ipod - but its broken - so now i'm hoping to get an accessible mp3
player/ipod or similar that will hold alot of cd's and songs approximately 500
plus songs
can anyone advise me on the easiest thing to buy - i am really not good at
learning new technology - i did work out how to do things with olympus and
audible - but only through following the braille instructions laboriously
