I'm also seriously considering completely moving away from Norton Internet
Security. Although I found it excellent in terms of protecting me from
viruses and internet threats, I also found that I couldn't get Norton to
allow my two computers to network and permit me access from one to the
other. The only way I was able to access files from my laptop and copy them
on to my desktop was to turn Norton off on both. Not a very eficient way to
work I think.

I also couldn't set Norton up to allow port forwarding.

Since I've got this new desktop I've been trying Look and stop along with
Nod32 and have found that they don't seem to slow down the computer as much
as Norton does on my laptop.

So, when the subscription to Norton roles around later on this year I won't
be paying for a new one and for the first time in 8 years I shall be a
Norton free zone.
