Hi Simon,
If a PDF contains a scanned image of print, then almost your
only alternative is to print it, and scan it yourself with
an OCR package.

hello list,
am having a problem with some pdf files.
the problem is that they appear to contain scanned
documents, and I can't read them in the standard way, does
anyone know how I can read them, or convert them in to a
readable format?
