Andy -

A 64 MB card is very small for music, and when you take in to consideration that if you are going to install the TALKS software, the card is the best place to put it, then your available space will be even greater reduced. But to answer your question, and this is just a guide, but if you allow 1 mb per minute of audio, when ripped at 128 KB, then you won't go far wrong; therefore, an average 4 minute track will be about 4MB in size, so you might get a short album on there, but really, you'd be a lot better with a larger MMC say 512MB for example. Guess it depends which phone you go for, what size card it can take.

Hi all and thanks for all the advice. I've visited the url http://www.nuance.com/talks/phones.asp and had a look at all the suitable phones for talks, and my goodness, there are dozens of them. Subsequently, I have additional questions.

I noticed that many had cameras and some played mp3 music. Although I had stated in my previous message that I'd not be interested in anything technical such as photography, I must admit, listening to some of my music while on a train would be nice.

I noticed that the memory's ranged from 64mb down to 16mb. So if I wanted to have some music files on-board, I'd be better with a large memory. Can anyone tell me How much music can you get on a 64mb card? - In terms of albums.

I noticed also that the only phone which had a flip over lid was the Nocia 6260, but this only had a 32mb card. Is it possible to get a larger memory card and insert it into this phone and if so, how big a card can you go folks?

I've many more questions because I've never had such a phone but I'll not bore everyone with these until later. Thanks. Best wishes. Andy.
