[access-uk] plusnet and vanishing e-mails

I know there are some plusnet customers on the list so thought this may be
of interest.

Since the introduction of their new spam filtering, I have suspected that not
all e-mails are getting delivered.

My daughter signed up for a youtube account which requires following a link
in an email to confirm the address. This mail never arrived, not in the
inbox or the spam folder on the plusnet portal.

They have now confirmed to me that some e-mails are removed before the
sorting process where they are put in the spam folder or inbox.

At this stage, they have no sollution to this. Turning off spam filtering will
not help as this removal process takes place before the controlable spam
filter.

I have also found that mails from npower are going the same way.

Lots more on this subject on the plusnet.service.customer-feedback
newsgroup.
