Barry, that's quite right. I used to back up my XP system with all progs on
3 DVDs, which was easy enough to deal with.

IFW probably want about 8 or 10 dvd's for that. What I'd do is re-install
your OS, get it the way you like it, don't install Office as this really
isn't a big chore after an Image restoration, then back it up. No way
that's just an OS with some programs like a screen reader installed pushing
80GB on the HD.
Keep mp3s etc on a different drive to your OS and you'll cut downt he amount
of DVD's you'll need for the back up.

ok lets say if i have a backup of 79gb how many dvds will i need? i mean i
know i will require aprox 20 dvds but does image for windows compress the
image more then what it does if on a hard drive? in the standard mode
