Hi Jim.

If you're getting messages about Windows validation, it could mean that the copy of Windows on your system is not legal or genuinely obtained. Unfortunately this will mean a call to Microsoft's activation hotline to validate your copy of Windows, and if it is determined not to be genuine, a new copy of Windows will have to be bought. It wont mean you having to reformat your machine or anything, it'll just mean you'll need a new product key.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Where did you buy your PC from? Who installed the copy of Windows?
Where did it come from?
That would be my first port of call.

If you still can't resolve it, there are a couple of 24x7 numbers in the US:

Windows 7: 1-866-530-6364
All other products: 1-866-530-6599

Hi List,

I'm still having the same problem with Microsoft's security essentials.
I've used the scan facility, both quick and full and gonne to the MS website
but still I get the same message, i.e. my system did not pass genuine
windows validation.Suggestions please.
