Donna, Unlike Antivirus programs two or more firewalls can usually co-exist peacefully. There's no need to turn off the Windows firewall, but relying entirely on it is taking a risk. I currently have my Windows firewall running along with Sygate, but am by no means certain with what to replace the latter.
