Hi all,
I am currently running spybott version 1.4 on an Acer laptop which is also running Jaws 7.1 Beta.
When I went to update spybot it showed that there was an update for detection rules but when I tried to download it using the automatic download system in spybot it said something like "bad chexam."
I then tried to download the update from the spybot homepage, but, when I then check for updates to see if I have been successful, I get an error saying " Error reading update file! Socket error 1104 followed by an OK button.
Please can anyone tell me what the problem is and how I may be able to solve it. Please note that as I am running Jaws I have already asked Tristram at Sight and Sound but he is not sure if the problem is something I have done or a problem with the spybott website.
Thank you in advance for any pointers to a solution.
