Hi, try the aspi driver anyway. I've had no problems using it in the past. Hope that helps. - original message - Subject: [access-uk] the Aspi driver From: "Andy Collins" <andy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: 22/03/2008 10:49 am Hi all - I usually use CDEX to rip from CDs, but it wasn't having it for one disc, so I tried using RealPlayer, and it said there might be a problem with my drive's driver, and did I want to install the aspi driver which they clame gives an improved listening experience. I said no to this, as I've had no problems before this, ripping using the generic driver, and I think the problem is with this particular CD [although it plays ok in my home cinema system] So my question really is: is it generally a good idea to install the aspi driver, or could it create problems!? I like to keep RealPlayer's control of my system to a minamum as I'm pretty sure it has cause me problems on other machines!
