Totally agree with you with regards mobile broadband, I'm always listening
to talking books through the bookstream book club on my netbook when
travelling. I like it so much that I took out a contract with 15GB of data
allowance, plus I get free unlimited skype to skype calls which don't impact
my data allowance. I suggest you find out what your allowance will do for
you on Vodafone as skype does tend to be quite bandwidth hungry.

very interesting.
the chap at vodafone said as this is very new it should be available
online very soon.
the software on the netbook is very accessible and now I can just plug the
usb stick in and it connects. I can then put in the voucher code. it is
much better than connecting via my mobile phone. you can listen to say
www.williamhil.co.uk's radio link where you can get all horse racing
comentarys. you can listen to a talking book from rnib online and you can
certainly use skype.
walking hot spot is good but it really eats your mobile battery and when I
am out using wayfinder it is no good at all.
