I tried another book which it isn't recognising at all. I think with the first
book I tried I didn't copy all the files across but when I put the other file
on that didn't help.

I will contact humanware about it. I am using my universities stream at the
moment and am interested in buying one but want to be able to make my own text
daisy files to use with it.

  Hi Lara,

To be honest, I haven't tried this, because I use other tools to convert
files to Daisy, but I would have thought it should just work. Might be a
problem with Kurzweil.

  All the best

  Steve

Its a text daisy file. Pressing 9 says "only one playback mode available text
to speech audio" but it still doesn't read anything. I will try converting the
book again.

    Hi Lara,

Is it an Audio Daisy file, a text file, or both? If a text file, try
pressing 9 on the Stream, and see if it reads.

    All the best

Interesting I thought that should work and converted a book with book marks
in for chapter headings. The stream does not make any sound when it is reading
the book, but will read the book marks. I will try again I was not sure if it
was possible but pressumably I have done something wrong.

      Hi Lara,

Absolutely. Theree is currently no automatic way of doing it, but once
you have created your Daisy book in Kurzweil, just copy the whole contents of
the book's folder into a folder under the $vrdtb folder on the Stream's memory
card.

      All the best

Is it possible to put daisy books from kurzweil on to the victor reader
stream?
