I imagine that I have got the same Wristwatch that is being referred to
here. Mine wasn't obtained from the RNIB, but it sounds the same. On this
unit the strap is rather chunky in common with the unit itself, I do not
believe the strap could be removed as it incorporates the receiving antenna.
I have had this unit for over 12 months and experienced no problems with it,
I have not yet had to change the battery. Incidentally this watch has also
got an Alarm that can be set, I have never done so. Perhaps the appearance
is not too feminine!!!
A good buy.
Good luck Roy.

Hi Carol,
Trust a woman to worry about the strap . . If the RNIB can't or won't
change it, a watch repairer will!!! [smile]
However, that's an academic response as you really want a wristwatch
with stop watch functions.
I think Sharps should be forced at the point of a gun to renew their
supplying of their talking calculater which I think is one of the best
gadgets to be provided for us blind over the years!

Kind regards, and happy Christmas shopping.
Gerry.
