Some of you have probably noticed by now the event page for next Tuesday's
masterclass (2/16) on Facebook. One thing that has changed with how
Facebook manages events now is that we can no longer send individual event
notifications to people - I guess too many people were getting tired of
mass invites to multiple events? So if you were used to getting an invite
to ACWE events, don't feel snubbed! It's just a feature they don't seem to
have any more. If you have a Facebook account and you feel so inclined, you
can help spread the word to other people who might be interested in our
masterclasses by sharing the event in your feed. :)
(I also wanted to clarify that I did check with Thomas to confirm that we
were still within our allotted amount for the masterclass payments before I
contacted the additional presenter - with the 7 he had already scheduled
and our $2000 budget, we still had plenty of money available for another
presenter.)
After we get some more information from Dr. Sodders and Dr. Lo for their
topics (hopefully tomorrow), I will send another reminder email to the full
band with more detail about the first masterclass. Please feel free to
share this information with other bands or people who might be interested
in attending!
