BTW, I just remembered while at Edwards AFRL reading about a study to inject
LH2 into the core of a solid rocket motor to increase ISP and of course a
degree of throtlability within the range of the injectant. Could call it a
'tribrid'. You could also use some of the LH2 to dump cool the nozzle for a
really high ISP like a nuclear engine.
But only a thought experiment, I don't propose doing such a thing. Just
combining the disadvantages of all 3 systems.
