It is challenging to remember how big Starship really is when watching the
flights. It is so big there is nothing in the field of view to compare it
to! 1 meter bounce doesn't look like much, but it is remarkable that it
survived that and stood for any length of time. How many landings did
Falcon 9 booster blow before it stopped blowing them? (on someone else's
dime.)
Of course, tons of experience gained on every flight not only with
extending the milestones but also with every other phase of the flight
profile and the vehicle configuration and flight programming, engine
performance characterization and endurance. Spacex is legendary at taking
advantage of learning from -every- aspect of flight with every flight.
We can be sure that there will be many more starship flights this year..
they are lining them up! Out beyond SN20, and getting better at fab and
details with every unit built.
Test firing, swapping out a Raptor, and retest and flight within a few days
is kinda.... reemarkable in itself. Practice makes perfect.
Meanwhile little details like alloy refinement, a huge specialty steel
mill, a Samsung chip fab plant, local methane production, a couple of
giga-sealaunch platforms and more are in process.
I think they are committed. And Texas is lucky!
