Well, once the solid state battery and supercapacitors are perfected the
internal combustion engine will become obsolete along with its highly
toxic, carcinogenic, flammable fuel - Gasoline. Not sure about diesel
engines though, I guess them too.

BTW, the best/cheapest solvent for clean up of your casting equipment is
gasoline. Works great just no smoking.
Worse than that: it's not just flammable, it's carcinogenic. That's why
it's no longer used much for industrial cleaning -- working safely with it
in quantity is complicated and costly. E.g., it usually contains things
like benzene, which professional chemists in well-equipped labs now try to
avoid using because it's excessively dangerous, including by absorption
through the skin.
(Nobody would ever approve gasoline as a consumer fuel now, if it were
new. It gets the Mother Of All Grandfather Clauses.)
At the very least, work outdoors with good cross-ventilation (wind or fan)
to avoid breathing fumes, and wear splash protection and nitrile(*) gloves.
(* Not leather or latex. At a minimum, nitrile. Ideally, viton, but it's
expensive. )
