Wonder how many others we've lost since then? They paved the way for first
Masten and Armadillo, then SpaceX and Blue Origin.
Jerry Pournelle passed away on September 8, 2017. He chaired the "Citizen's
Advisory Council on National Space Policy" which pushed the SSX concept that
lead to DC-X
