But also consider: Wiping out the investors (or just letting them sit
and rot with no returns) would produce a company that was created
at no cost, and competes with business created with an obligation for
return on investment. (loans, bonds, honest founders, etc.).

Investment success, commercial success, or just competitive success
could all have different meaning.

As the saying goes: "Don't compete with fools, they will go bankrupt
hurting you"
