SpaceX has rewritten the rule several times, and now once more.
The whole paradigm of cost per pound to orbit,cost and time to geosynch
orbit, design and cost parameters for comsats spysats and interplanetary
missions has changed, radically and new designs that fit the new reality
will develop quickly.
The idea that falcon heavy can become a space bus with a single second
stage handling several moderate payloads or Biggie's with the use of 3
very inexpensive cost per flight reusable boosters. next years com
satellites may cost 1/4 of today's, now that getting em up there at 1/5 the
cost and with high turnaround rates.
The universe has shifted dramatically, as has the future of spaceflight.
Let's drop the tenets of the old technonogy fast and move ahead on all
fronts. Our future depends on it.
Musk has demonstrated that backing spAcex was a very smart thing to do, and
he lead with investing billions of his own, building an incredible team,
and leading them in an inspirational way.
Any payload and mission guys out there like that?
