Subject: [bcbirdclub] American Kestrel - Compton Mt
Yesterday a beautiful male American Kestrel, the smallest falcon in North
America, was perched on the neighbor's pasture fence. As Lynda and I drove by
it took to the air displaying the bright rufous on the tail and back and the
blue on the wings. This is a species we don't see that often here on the
mountain so it was a nice surprise.
