With the snow falling all day here on Compton Mountain the birds came
pouring in to the feeders. By the end of the day I had counted 24 species.
The more unusual species were a Red-breasted Nuthatch and a Red-shouldered
Hawk. Of course the Northern Flicker eating from the suet feeder was also
unusual, but having 33 Northern Cardinals at once was hard to beat.
