Yesterday morning early, 7:30 am, I sat on the side porch and watched the bird feeders on the west side of the house. Pine Siskins are still coming to the thistle feeders, but in lesser numbers. Of note, I heard a Magnolia Warbler singing in the White's orchard and heard a Black and White Warbler singing across the road in Dean's woods. All of this while drinking coffee was a great start to a rainy day. Laverne Tom & Laverne Hunter Russell County Bird Club Lebanon, VA
