Yesterday my friend, Larry Pinson, down in Whitley City, KY alerted me to
the sale price of $13.99 per 40# bag of Royal Wing sunflower seeds at
Tractor Supply. Today I went by the Tractor Supply in Vansant to get some.
It was on sale there too for the same price, but when I checked out two
bags, the girl at the register told me that the seed was ringing up at $9.99
per 40# bag. I said, "Wow! That's great." It made me wish I had bought 4
bags.
As I was leaving the store I heard her on the phone talking to someone about
the way the sale was appearing on the register, so I am fairly sure no one
else will get it for the price I did. In any case, $13.99 is not a bad
price, if you are in need of seed for this winter. If it is kept in a cool
place where the tiny moths won't hatch out inside it, it will last for
months.
