Dad & I enjoyed a walk to the Beaver pond this afternoon. Walking down the road past the rentals, we found a small group of Golden-cr Kinglets & then a Brown Creeper working it's way up one of the skinny poplars by the road. Dad said he didn't think he had ever seen a creeper before & I told him that I always feel blessed when I see one. Those guys are hard to find even when you're looking for them! As we walked on around the pond we also found a few Yellow-rumped Warblers, a Winter Wren & a Hermit Thrush. We finished up w/ a Red-sh Hawk , Towhee, Robins, Chickadees & a Red-bellied Wp. At home the feeders remain busy, highlights including Purple Finch, Pine Siskin & Brown Thrasher. No Harris's Sparrow today. Actually had more time than usual this morning to watch, but wasn't able to find the Harris's. Will keep you posted. DaveR/Breaks,VA
