Thanks Larry for the gull photo. Ring-billed Gulls can now be found on several 
inland lakes. They have become a common sight on South Holston Lake, which lies 
across the VA/TN line. Ring-bills can often be seen in the parking lots of 
areas around Bristol.
Occasionally they show up on golf courses, foot-ball fields, etc. here in 
Buchanan County. Back in the mid 70's one even showed up just after a storm in 
our garden here on Compton Mt.
