It's a crazy year. Off-the-wall species showing up all over. The
editing/vetting job is already making my eyes cross and I have barely begun.
Not only are humans mixed up about the weather, the birds seem to be too.
I'm a bit embarrassed that right here in our small neck of the woods on the
edge of the York River, we have missed most of the storms (so far!). We seem to
be right on the edge of things. I'll bet, even as I'm writing this, you guys
are already catching it on that whopper that's suppose to swoop over much of
the region over the weekend. Wonder if we'll be able to dodge the bullet again.
So far, the maps show it going to the northwest of us. Another front is
creeping up from the south but is supposed to reach only as far as Virginia
Beach. We'll see. I may be singing a different tune by Sunday!
