We have had several days of near 70 degree weather. Some showers for the last couple of days. While sitting outside this morning, having my coffee, I noticed a large group of birds in a large white oak tree in front of the house. After a closer look I discovered they were Cedar Waxwings. There were at least 100 plus about 80 feet up. I was able to capture a fair picture even though it was very overcast. I tried a panoramic shot, however, I was too far away. Notice the tree has buds on it. Don't think I have seen this many Waxwings at one time before in this area. I think the migration has begun. I have only seen one single Goldfinch today. They are headed your way. Good Birding Skip McClellan Conroe, Texas Overcast, 67 degrees
