The eagle was found March 19 on Soldier Creek Road by a resident who alerted state officials, the Sheridan Press reported. The bird was lying under a utility pole and appeared to have been electrocuted by a power line, Wyoming wildlife biologist Tim Thomas said. The bird had been tagged as a fledgling in1983. The oldest recorded banded eagle was found in Utah in 2012 and was 31 years, 7 months old.
