Hey all if you were a GBBC Participant than thank this bird quiz and survey ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: <RickBonney@xxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri, May 21, 2010 at 4:37 PM Subject: GBBC Participants - Please take our bird quiz and survey! To: meade.josh@xxxxxxxxx Dear GBBC participant: Thank you for your time. We are a conducting a survey of participants in the 2010 Great Backyard Bird Count. The survey has two parts. Part 1 is aimed at helping Audubon, Bird Studies Canada, and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology understand your experiences as a bird watcher. Part 2 is a fun quiz about bird identification and natural history. The quiz is NOT intended to help us determine your individual skill as a bird watcher or your ability to identify the birds that you are likely to see while conducting the GBBC. In fact, depending on where you live, many of the species shown could well be unfamiliar to you, and that is fine. The main goal of the quiz is to gather information about the diverse skill levels of our participants as we plan and prepare bird education materials to support our various projects. Answers to the quiz will be made available in early June. Overall the survey and quiz should take about 15-20 minutes to complete. Required questions are marked with an asterisk. All responses are confidential, and you are welcome to exit the survey at any time. Everyone who completes this survey will receive a complimentary one-month subscription to the Birds of North America Online, which provides in-depth life history information, photos, sounds, and videos for the 700 plus birds that regularly nest in the United States and Canada. Details for free access to this resource are at the end of the survey.
