States Across the Country Are Standing Up for Birds
The drive to save America’s birds just hit exciting new heights. Audubon
filed a federal lawsuit against the administration in May after it abruptly
eliminated longstanding protections for birds under the Migratory Bird Treaty
Act—our oldest and most important bird protection law.
This month, eight states joined the effort, filing suit against the
administration to reinstate these vital protections. Their powerful efforts
are lifting the hopes of bird lovers across the country for the future of
this critical law—and for the 1,000-plus species it shields. Find out how
states all across the country are standing up for birds.
