Greetings Everyone,
Some good birds are still showing up at our place. We still have a few Pine
Siskins hanging around, though the numbers are down compared to a week ago. The
number of hummers has dropped dramatically. I suppose some of those were just
passing through.

A Great Crested Flycatcher (photo) came into a tree just outside the window and
fought with a Brown Thrasher that was trying to come to the suet cage. Usually
I see these flycatchers high in the treetops.

One of the three foxes that are still coming to the yard each night looks as if
it has been shot through the back (photo) or has been attacked by another
animal. It has a large patch of hair gone with a black spot on each side. A few
days ago it started coming out in daylight to get food. We usually see them
only at night.
