[bcbirdclub] Great Egrets in Breaks,VA

I got a call from my neighbor, Seldon Clevinger, on Saturday evening at around
5 P.M. He reported 6 large white birds were perched in a tree overlooking his
pond. I grabbed my binoculars and rushed to his place to discover 6 Great
Egrets in a large tree beside his pond! While we were enjoying them a Great
Blue Heron flew up from the pond and forced the topmost Egret off his perch and
promptly took his place. The Great Blue was still resting there when I left for
home about 30 minutes later. I went back to see if the Egrets were still there
the next morning & could not locate them.
