Weather:
Fog and heavy cloud cover for most of the time. A few bursts of sunlight
and less fog, mainly over the North/Northwest side of the mountain.
Raptor Observations:
A very slow day. The weather was not suitable for hawk watching: Saw a few
Vultures, one Kestrel (local), one Raven, and one lone, struggling,
flapping, Broad-winged hawk. Better days are coming!!!
Non-raptor Observations:
Predictions:
Hopefully the week will improve, at Harvey's Knob between 2:30 and 4 pm
(DST) I saw 1000+ Broad-winged Hawks, 3 Bald Eagles (2 immature and one
adult all in one group) probably a dozen Sharp-shinned Hawks and a glimpse
at a Merlin (called by several folks in the group). John Whinery
