Gary, congratulations on the geese and the hummers. Lynda saw a hummer here today at the bedroom window. It was examining the red leaves of our "Burning Bush" Euonymus alata. That's a new late date for us here on the mountain. We also had a couple of Tennessee Warblers, lots of Yellow-rumps feeding on Poison Ivy berries and a couple of grosbeaks. As I was struggling to count them, because it was still fairly dark outside, I was buzzed by 2 hummingbirds on their way to the feeders. I've been seeing 4 or 5 hummers consistently every day. I will update when they decide to pack up and head south. Gary Cooper Bristol, Virginia
