Hi All, This morning I had 5 sparrow species feeding in the yard, 6 if you count a House Sparrow, which is technically a finch. There were Chipping, Song, White-crowned, White-throated and a Lincoln's. The Lincoln's was often chased off by the White-crowned, the White-throated and even an Eastern Towhee. The Lincoln's left, but came back later to our small stream. To my knowledge this is the first time I have seen a Lincoln's at the stream. I guess it's the extreme drought that is bringing them in. David Raines had a Lincoln's at his place in the Breaks on October 4th. Photos of the Lincoln's can be found at http://www.pbase.com/mayhorn/migration_10 Roger Mayhorn Compton Mt
