Observation start time: 08:15:00
Observation end   time: 17:00:00
Total observation time: 7 hours

Official Counter:        Ron Harrington

Observers:        Donna Osborne, Freddie Osborne, Matt Fleenor, Sam Evans

Visitors:
None

Weather:
For most of the day it was sunny with high, clear skies and only an
occasional cloud for backdrop. A rain shower rolled over part of the
mountain range late in the day. During the morning there was a light and
steady breeze of 5-15 mph out of the east, but it became calm around 11:00,
followed by a light breeze from the west during the afternoon. Visibility
was approximately 15-20 miles, impaired by haze. Temperature was in the
upper 70s by afternoon.

Raptor Observations:
Most of the Broad-winged hawks came by during the morning, with 930 counted
by 11:00. These were generally easy to see with unaided vision. However as
we moved into the afternoon they were flying high and hard to find. We had
a kettle of 100 during the 2:00 hour. Only one hawk was counted after 2:30.
The American Bald Eagles were adults. The Osprey were flying together.

Non-raptor Observations:
No much in the way of song birds. Saw two Ravens and the usual array of
local Turkey/Black Vultures. Counted 18 Monarch Butterflies.

Predictions:
Conditions should be about the same.
