[bcbirdclub] Monarch Caterpillars

Monarch Butterflies have had a hard time of it during the past few years.
One year there was a heavy frost in the area in Mexico where the Monarchs
overwinter. Thousands of them died. One of the plants they depend on in
order to lay their eggs is Milkweed, which is disappearing from farms,
pastures, etc. Lynda and I try every year to leave the Milkweed growing
around our property to help the Monarchs, and it's fun to try to find their
caterpillars on the Milkweed this time of the year. Today I found four
Monarch Caterpillars on our Milkweed. Here are a couple of photos.
